Just as the tools used in scientific research are changing, so too are the tools used in scientific communication. Elsevier has taken a leadership role in advancing the technologies necessary to create a seamless electronic information delivery environment.
Roundedcube assisted Elsevier with the conception, design, development and roll-out of a new product component, an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) as part of a Simulation Learning System. The Simulation Learning System (SLS) integrates simulation technology into various specialty/profession-specific courses by providing realistic scenarios and supportive learning resources. The fully-functioning EMR allows for simulation exercises that reinforce concepts and application of knowledge.
The product was also a finalist in the 2009 CODiE Awards for "BEST MEDICAL AND HEALTH INFORMATION PRODUCT"! The product, built on the Microsoft .NET platform, is fully scalable, extendible and allows for product administration and the creation of additional EMRs.
