ST. LOUIS, MO - Roundedcube announces the release of a completely redesigned and redeveloped public website for the Institute for Defense Analyses, a non-profit corporation that administers three federally funded research and development centers to provide objective analyses of national security issues and conduct related research on other national challenges.
Roundedcube combined their expertise in Sitecore content management and web development with the skills of the design firm, New Target, to overhaul the website from strategy, content structure and design to development platform, content management, and security. The result is a greatly enhanced experience for the end-user and superior administrative capabilities for IDA.
At the core of ida.org is the Sitecore content management system, which allows IDA staff to quickly and easily keep the website up-to-date. Sitecore, invented in 1999, is a CMS of exceptional capacity, functionality, and flexibility. Roundedcube is a Certified Solution Partner of Sitecore. The unique challenge with IDA.org was implementing the site's underlying structure Sitecore, a Microsoft .NET application, while the site's presentation would be hosted in a Linux environment. The solution was the creation of Roundedcube's own "rc.SiteCopy", a Sitecore-based application that converted Sitecore's .NET ASPX pages into PHP to make them suitable for the Linux operating system.
